Early this month, an amateur film crew comprised of middle school students from South Fayette made Inventionland the set of their very own five-minute feature film.

As part of the Carnegie Science Center’s i5 Digital Video Competition, the students were tasked with showcasing the uses of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) in their lives. To do this, they chose to explore innovations, issues, individuals, inspiring careers and incredible income potential at Inventionland.

While on set, they interviewed Inventionland personnel and shot some video around our creative design facility. Now, their video is complete and they’ve submitted it to the competition.

As promised, they’ve also shared their i5 video with us. Here’s an exclusive first look at their film, “STEM in my Future”:

Their video not only showcases the importance that STEM plays around Inventionland, but it also shows how adding art and creativity to the mix really gives new innovations STEAM!

We can help give the South Fayette team a little STEAM in the Carnegie Science Center’s i5 Digital Video Competition, too.
