There are always projects keeping designers, engineers, prototype builders and other busy bees buzzing at Inventionland. When various trade shows come around, like we mentioned in a recent blog post, things do really get kicked into high gear!

Today might be Leap Day, but it also kicks off what we may deem as International Home + Housewares Show-hype week! That’s right. The International Housewares Association (IHA) kicks off their largest housewares industry trade show this Saturday, March 5^th in Chicago and our friends at Jokari/US, Inc. and Love Cooking Company will be there showcasing all of their most innovative products – many of which were Inventionland-designed and packaged!

Designer Tess and Michael, Special Operations and photographer, were recently busy in the studio taking photos for Jokari product packaging.

Tess not only directed the shoot, but also stepped in to model the ease of use for the products as needed for a few in-use shots.

This wasn’t Tess’ first time in the spotlight. Here, you’ll see her demonstrating the Quick Cut, another product that’s headed to the housewares show.

Every unique Inventionland set within our 61,000 square-foot invention factory has been buzzing with excitement in preparation for the IHA Show. Industrial Designer Sarah took a moment to use the embroidery machine in Inventionland’s Crafty Cottage while Seamstress Bev kept busy at her sewing station.

Today, we mark International Home + Housewares week that begins on Saturday! Here’s to IHHS 2016!

The action has been going strong all weekend long at Chicago’s International Home + Housewares Show (IHHS)!

Hundreds of products and packaging solutions that we designed at Inventionland were shipped to Chicago and have been on display since the major industry trade show began on Saturday.

Both client and corporate products are on display at the Love Cooking Company and Jokari booths this year. Love is teaming up with both Culinary Professional Chef Tony Notaro and Mrs. Fields to showcase today’s most innovative cookware and bakeware products. Two products that we designed for Jokari, Petal Clips and the Scrub Gator, have been named IHA Innovation Award finalists at this year’s show, too!
