Inventionland plays host for a group of local students preparing for the i5 Digital Video Competition!

In one week, it will be lights, camera and action at Inventionland! While this isn’t the first time that a production will be shot at our creative design facility, we do think that this may be the first time that the filmmakers have not yet completed middle school!

Just last week, a group of fifth grade students from South Fayette had a very special tour of Inventionland.

This group of students was so inspired by our creative surroundings that they’ve decided to use our unique space as the subject of a five-minute film they are making to enter into the Carnegie Science Center’s i5 Digital Video Competition!

The competition encourages middle and high school students to make a short, digital video that showcases the uses of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) in their lives. Specifically, the i5 competition is asking students to explore innovations, issues, individuals, inspiring careers and incredible income potential.

We know that we’re partial, but from the sounds of things, these students selected the perfect place to explore those areas!

The fifth grade students will be taking over Inventionland on the morning of March 4th and we’ll be sure to share their completed video with you!
