Designing cooking and bakeware innovations is nothing new for Inventionland’s team of Creationeers who work to serve creative ideas daily, seeing an idea through our 9-step process from concept to prototype, to real product in packaging.

Just last year, the Inventionland-designed Mega Bacon Pan made an appearance on QVC’s In the Kitchen with David. While it’s always exciting to see our products reach television sets of viewers everywhere, it’s even more gratifying when a product becomes a QVC best-seller!

That’s the same hope for the unique TriSagna Pan, set to appear during two popular segments on QVC today!

By designing a unique pan with three separate sections and individual lifting trays, Inventionland designers were able to create the unique TriSagna Pan to enable chefs of all skill levels to easily prepare and simultaneously bake three kinds of lasagna in a single pan. From meat to vegetarian, this pan encourages at-home chefs to get creative in the kitchen.

On Wednesday, April 20th between 12 and 1 p.m., our innovative baking solution, the PushPerfect 8” Brownie Pan, was front and center on QVC’s “Kitchen Unlimited with Carolyn.”

Before we dive into the sweet success of the segment, let us paint a picture for you!

We’re going to go out on a limb here, but there has probably been a time or two in your life when you witnessed someone fighting over the outer brownies of the pan; you know the ones with the crisp edges?

If you can relate, you know that these brownies are a prized possession. With that in mind, Inventionland Creationeers designed the PushPerfect 8” Brownie Pan with Slicing Grid for our friends at Love Cooking Company.

When designing this innovative three-piece pan, Creationeers incorporated a silicone-lined removable base, thanks to a partnership that gained Love Cooking Company U.S. distribution of Wilkinson 1895’s patented PushPan design for a leak-proof seal. An 8” pan surrounds an insertable slicing grid completed the pan’s design, which was an overall effort to make baking easier for everyone.

So, whether you’re an experienced or novice baker, the PushPerfect 8” Brownie Pan gives everyone the opportunity to put their creative spin on a classic dessert. Not to mention, gone are the days of fighting over the outer edges because this pan makes perfectly-portioned treats with chewy edges!

In case you missed the segment, QVC host Carolyn Gracie and longtime guest host Marie Louise Ludwig transformed this product into more than just a perfect brownie maker. In fact, the duo demonstrated just how innovative the PushPerfect 8” Brownie Pan can be!

Gracie and Ludwig made sweet treats, like brownies with ganache and crispy cereal treats as well as savory fare, like pull-apart pepperoni bread and cornbread, too!

After only a short amount of time, Gracie made it known that the PushPerfect 8” Brownie Pan was one of her favorite baking pans!

“You get perfect squares every time!” said Ludwig, noting how you can leave the grid in during baking to make sure each square has a chewy edge.

Appeasing your sweet tooth just got a bit easier, thanks to this Inventionland-designed product!

The PushPerfect 8” Brownie Pan is now available on QVC.com for $27.50.

This innovative product is on set right now as we speak and will be showcased as a QVC exclusive.

Though this isn’t the first Inventionland-designed product to make its way on QVC airwaves, the excitement level of our Creationeers is through the roof!

Our talented Creationeers work on many unique Inventionland-designed product ideas. Whether it’s due to their hunger for creativity or hunger, in general, the team seems to have a knack for developing innovative cooking and bakeware products.

Two Creationeers – Designer and food stylist Kyp, along with Photographer Michael, also known as “Spicy” – showcase these products in their best light as they capture photographs to be used for packaging design.

It’s the food styling and photography expertise of this Inventionland duo that’s brought a common bond between a few well-known celebrities – Paula Deen, David Tutera, and now Culinary Professional Chef Tony Notaro.

Recently, Spicy and Kyp struck again as they assumed their respective positions behind the camera to orchestrate a savory food photo shoot for a brand new Chef Tony-licensed product for our friends over at Love Cooking Company!

Kyp rolled up her sleeves and got to work styling the food. Kyp put on both her Director of Photography and chef hats to prep for the Chef Tony Bacon Bowl Pan photo shoot.

This Chef Tony product was designed to be versatile, so both Spicy and Kyp were tasked with the job of showcasing a glimpse of the recipe options that can be made with the Bacon Bowl Pan.

It’s a few tricks of the trade and food styling savvy that made for a successful shoot.  We’ll fill you in on a little secret; see that delicious scoop of ice cream below? Well, we have to admit, that’s not ice cream!

“This is my first fake ice cream shoot!” said Kyp, who used various ingredients including Crisco to create an ice cream look-a-like.

Why whip up a concoction to look like ice cream rather than use the real deal? Well, there’s a method to Kyp’s madness.

Real ice cream would have created an immediate problem, as it would melt quickly during the shoot. With professional lighting used to capture the perfect image, the heat that’s generated from those lamps would have made a milkshake in minutes!

Needless to say, Kyp was a little anxious to see how her Crisco-creation would photograph.

“That ice cream looks so good! I’m very happy with that,” Kyp said after she saw the photo.

Now, her next quest was to find a way to make her “ice cream” creation stand out against a white backdrop. The answer – Hershey’s chocolate syrup!

As we have mentioned in a previous post, product packaging and food photography is all about telling the story of the product. Thanks to Kyp’s thinking, planning and preparation, it was easy for Spicy to capture the essence and versatility of the Bacon Bowl Pan for packaging purposes!

A lot of work has been done by our Creationeers here at Inventionland to prepare products and packaging designs for new collections recently released under the David Tutera brand for our friends at Love Cooking Company.

Prior to the International Home + Housewares Show a couple weeks ago, we helped prepare products for their debut at the show. These same product have now found their home on not only Love’s website (available for pre-order), but also on celebrity entertaining expert David Tutera’s website, too!

Now that you’ve clicked around on David Tutera’s website, you probably noticed some great photography. Well, some of the images that you saw on the website were actually done in-house, right here at Inventionland.

For this project, Designer Kyp played the role of director of photography and food stylist, alongside Michael (better known as “Spicy”) who was the photographer.

“It’s pretty epic having my photos on such a well-known celebrity’s website,” said Spicy.

“I hope people can appreciate the effort and detail that we go into. Some of the seemingly subtle things we change during the shoot make the final photos look amazing.” said Spicy.

Just take the Party Tubs, for example.

When creating this shot, Spicy and Kyp kept attention to the littlest details, moving small pieces of ice here and there and rotating bottles of soda even just a half an inch to get the perfect placement. More water droplets were also added on the bottles for condensation. All of these factors came together for the website-worthy picture.

“Food photography is fun because you usually get a meal at the end,” Spicy smiled.

Kyp echoes Spicy’s sentiments saying, “It’s cool to be able to point to so many different websites and show my family work I’ve done… When those links are live, that’s when we get to share it with the world.”

Just imagine the pride and the feeling of accomplishment that Spicy and Kyp must have felt when they saw their hard work live on a celebrity’s website.

“It’s very validating,” Kyp added. “There’s a level of quality that brands and professionals expect for commercial photography. It’s great to be able to consistently deliver that quality.”

From the sounds of things, Kyp plans to continue to deliver that star-caliber quality!

“Every time we work with a new celebrity, I get a few degrees closer to Kevin Bacon,” Kyp joked.

In case you hadn’t heard, the Mrs. Fields Bake N Stuff that we designed right here at Inventionland for the Love Cooking Company  was repackaged as the Piñata Nonstick Cupcake Pan and was featured on QVC Wednesday afternoon.

Not only is it exciting to see our product on national TV, it’s even more exciting to know that every customer who purchased one will receive their Piñata Cupcake Pan in packaging that we designed specifically for QVC!

This was the Piñata Cupcake Pan’s first QVC outing, and it was the lead-off hitter for the first segment of “Kitchen Unlimited with Carolyn.”

The Piñata Cupcake Pan was featured at the top of the show and host Carolyn Gracie exclaimed, “We’re going to have a little piñata party!” And that’s exactly what they did.

Though it’s said that baking is an exact science, when it comes to the Piñata Cupcake Pan, the opportunities for creativity are endless.

Just like a piñata, the centers of the cupcakes made with the Piñata Nonstick Cupcake Pan are filled with delicious surprises!

In fact, on Wednesday’s segment, Carolyn, the show’s host and QVC kitchen product specialist, Marie Louise Ludwig thought outside of the traditional sweet cupcake and came up with innovative ways to use this product.

Believe it or not, they used the Piñata Nonstick Cupcake Pan to creatively turn a comfort meal into a handheld feast, just in time for fall. We’re talking about cornbread muffins stuffed with chili!

This is just one recipe that shows how creative you can be when it comes to baking. Thanks to our Piñata Nonstick Cupcake Pan, you can now fill your cupcakes (sweet or savory) with delicious fillings.

How does a peanut butter cupcake stuffed with a fruit filling sound? Or how about a cornbread cupcake stuffed with jalapenos and cheese for an extra kick?

What we’re trying to say is that the opportunities are endless! All that it takes to turn your baking idea into a reality is a dash of innovation, an ingredient we use every day at Inventionland.

It’s always “sweet” news for the Inventionland team when we find out that products that we designed will be showcased in front of potential consumers who will find value in solutions presented by our innovative product design.

It makes it that much sweeter when that product is the Mrs. Fields Bake N Stuff Cupcake Pan, designed for our friends at Love Cooking Company.

The problem? Cupcakes don’t get much better than when they’re stuffed with delicious filling, but doing so can often be a challenge.

The solution! Inventionland designers created a unique two-part cupcake pan that allows you to hollow out cupcakes and stuff them with your favorite fillings. They created an easy way for the baker to pour in the cupcake batter, lock the lid, and bake, resulting in tops and bottoms for six 3-inch cupcakes – ready to fill!

This unique bakeware innovation is slated to appear on QVC between 4 – 6 p.m. tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday, September 23)!

However, you won’t see the “Mrs. Fields Bake N Stuff Cupcake Pan” on QVC; instead, that very same product will appear as QVC’s own Piñata Cupcake Pan!

The Inventionland team designed special packaging to showcase the product specifically for QVC.

No matter what you call it – the Mrs. Fields Bake N Stuff Cupcake Pan or the Piñata Cupcake Pan – our designers are proud to see another product they’ve worked on headed to QVC.

Tune in to QVC tomorrow between 4 – 6 p.m. for new ways to bake and stuff cupcakes using the innovative pan that we designed at Inventionland!

The action has been going strong all weekend long at Chicago’s International Home + Housewares Show (IHHS)!

Hundreds of products and packaging solutions that we designed at Inventionland were shipped to Chicago and have been on display since the major industry trade show began on Saturday.

Both client and corporate products are on display at the Love Cooking Company and Jokari booths this year. Love is teaming up with both Culinary Professional Chef Tony Notaro and Mrs. Fields to showcase today’s most innovative cookware and bakeware products. Two products that we designed for Jokari, Petal Clips and the Scrub Gator, have been named IHA Innovation Award finalists at this year’s show, too!

Here’s a small taste of what the Jokari Corporation and the Love Cooking Company have been cooking up so far at the 2015 International Home + Housewares Show:

Culinary Professional Chef Tony, who just cooked up some more awesome dishes with the Miracle Meatloaf Pan on QVC, will be lending his expertise to Love’s booth also!

At the IHHS, Chef Tony won’t only be talking meatloaf though. He’ll be introducing an array of new products, too (stay tuned to find out what these products are)!

Right now, nearly 40 innovative cooking and baking product samples are in transit to Chicago for IHHS to be displayed at the Love Cooking Company booth. Among some of the hottest products from the company’s exclusive Mrs. Fields line include the Cutie Donuts, Bake N Stuff Cupcakes and Fill N Flip pans.
